Sea Cave & Private Island Tour

Boat out to a private island, explore a hidden sea cave, then snorkel a secluded beach.

Duration
Approx. 3–4 hours
Group
Small groups & families, moderate walking required
Meets at
Beach frontage next to the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Sanasana
Sunlight streaming through the mouth of a coastal sea cave onto the ocean
Adventurous families Groups who want more than a standard beach day Photographers Anyone who's already done a resort snorkel trip and wants more

This is Suli's full local adventure: a short boat ride from the beach beside the InterContinental across to a small island just offshore, followed by a walk across the island to a hidden sea cave that most visitors to Natadola never even hear about.

Along the way, your guide points out local landmarks — including parts of the island's history — before leading you into the cool, shaded mouth of the cave itself. It's a proper little adventure: some scrambling over rock, cave air, and the kind of story-telling that only comes from a guide who grew up here.

The tour typically finishes with a snorkel stop at a quiet beach on the far side of the island, well away from the main tourist strip — one of the reasons this trip is consistently the highlight of guests' entire Fiji holiday, according to their own reviews.

Tour Highlights

  • Short boat crossing to a private island most tourists never visit
  • Guided walk to a genuine sea cave, with local history and stories along the way
  • Finish with a snorkel at a secluded beach on the far side of the island
  • Great add-on if you've already done a standard resort beach day
  • Small groups only — this isn't a big-boat tour

What's Included

  • Local guide for the full boat, cave and island route
  • Boat transfer both ways
  • Snorkel gear for the beach stop

What to Bring

  • Closed or sturdy sandals — there is walking over uneven ground to reach the cave
  • Swimwear for the snorkel stop
  • A small dry bag for your phone or camera
  • Water and a hat
  • A sense of adventure — this is not a paved, resort-manicured path

Good to Know

  • There is a walk involved on the island, including some uneven terrain — this tour suits reasonably mobile guests.
  • Sea conditions affect the crossing; your guide will always call it if it isn't safe on the day.
  • This tour is well suited to combining with the snorkeling tour if you have a full day free — ask about a combined booking on WhatsApp.
  • As with all of Suli's tours, timing is flexible around the tides rather than a fixed clock time.

“We had a great day out with Suli and his amazing assistants. Visited Sanasana village on his boat, then headed over to the island for a cave tour, then to a secluded beach for a snorkel. Six adults and four kids, and it was a brilliant day.”

“My partner and I had a fantastic adventure with Suli. We went snorkelling, explored a sea cave, and finished with an authentic local seafood dinner on the beach. A real Fiji experience, not a tourist trap.”

Full-Day Adventure
Google Review
“Absolutely wonderful outing with Suli during our trip to Fiji. He took us to the island opposite our resort for snorkelling and cave exploring, then over to his village, Sanasana, to meet the locals. Considerably better than the resort tour and significantly less costly — Suli relaxed on the beach while we swam, never rushing us. Would absolutely recommend Suli and his team to anyone wanting to see the real Fiji.”
